GREENET è il progetto strategico votato all’unanimità dalle Città siciliane UNESCO,il 3 dicembre 2014, la connessione fra i sette siti dell’Isola: Palermo Arabo – Normanna e le Cattedrali di Cefalù e Monreale – Area Archeologica di Agrigento – La Villa del Casale di Piazza Armerina – Siracusa e le Necropoi Rupestri di Pantalica – Le Città Tardo Barocche del Val di Noto – Monte Etna, Isole Eolie. Passando per le meravigliose stazioni del Tempio di Segesta, le Cave di Cusa, dove si prelevavano e si preparavano le colonne e i capitelli dei Templi di Selinunte, la Nave Greca di Gela. Presso la cittadina di Giarratana GREENET incontra la Ciclovia FUA, un anello che unisce preziosi luoghi del Sud est dell’Isola.

GREENET is the strategic project unanimously approved by the Sicilian UNESCO Cities on 3 December 2014, linking the island’s seven sites: Arab-Norman Palermo and the cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale – the Archaeological Area of Agrigento; the Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina; Syracuse and the Rock-Cut Necropolises of Pantalica; the Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto; Mount Etna; and the Aeolian Islands. Passing through the marvellous sites of the Temple of Segesta, the Quarries of Cusa, where the columns and capitals of the Temples of Selinunte were quarried and prepared, and the Greek Ship of Gela. Near the town of Giarratana, GREENET meets the FUA Cycle Route, a loop connecting precious sites in the south-east of the island of Sicily
