La Barocco Line serve la Sicilia Orientale, da Siracusa, Ragusa, il Castello di Donnafugata e oltre ancora. È stata costruita fra il 1886 e il 1891, unisce il sito UNESCO Siracusa – Pantalica e con il sito Città Tardo Barocche del Val di Noto. Dopo essere stata ammodernata è stata dotata di treni nuovissimi. Rappresenta un mezzo perfetto per la intermodalità fra le due ruote di gomma e quelle di ferro e infatti, se salirete su un vagone in una qualsiasi delle stazioni servite incontrerete cicloturisti che la utilizzano molto volentieri per spostarsi lontano e ritornare al punto di partenza seguendo uno dei tanti percorsi, costieri o interni, fra quelli che trovate descritti in questo sito o nelle app specializzate, come “Trainline”.
The Barocco Line serves eastern Sicily, from Syracuse and Ragusa to the Castello di Donnafugata and beyond. Built between 1886 and 1891, it links the UNESCO site of Syracuse–Pantalica with the Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto. Following modernisation, it has been fitted with brand-new trains. It is the perfect means of intermodal travel between road and rail; indeed, if you board a train at any of the stations it serves, you will meet cycle tourists who are very keen to use it to travel far afield and return to their starting point by following one of the many routes – whether coastal or inland – described on this website or in specialist apps such as ‘Trainline’.
